Press / Media Center

Journalist, photographers and videographers on assignment are welcome to attend the Wooden Boat Festival free of charge. As the largest event in picturesque Port Townsend (30,000) and the largest gathering of beautiful wooden boats (more than 250) in the US, there's no end to photographic potential. We'll get you connected to people who fit your news interests and do our best to get you on the water!
CDs, DVDs and copies of stories produced about the event are appreciated. With your permission, we may use them in future promotional or historical publications.

Statement of publicity policies
The Wooden Boat Foundation and co-sponsor, Northwest Maritime Center, do not give exclusive arrangements to producers, photographers or writers during the Wooden Boat Festival. Rather, we are "inclusive" and hope to involve as many people as possible who will help spread the word about the Festival. We ask that all press respect the owners' privacy, property and follow their instruction when boarding or photographing vessels. All photographs of children must be approved in writing by parents.
