Commercial, Nonprofit, Educational and Food Vendors

1. Important dates and deadlines

  • 02/15/08 - Application process opens; sponsors, previous exhibitors and those who apply early receive priority booth assignments
  • 07/01/08 - Late fee applies for applications received after this date (see application)
  • 07/07/08 - Late fee applies for payments received after this date (see application)
  • 08/15/08 - Application process closes (if space is still available)
  • 09/04/08 - Set up Thursday after 12:00pm
  • 09/07/08 - Tear down Sunday after 5:00pm
  • Exhibitor check in is Thursday from 12:00-7:00pm. In August, Booth and Land Boat Exhibitors will be mailed a Parking Pass and map to the Jefferson Street (Skateboard Lot) entrance. A Traffic Volunteer will greet you in your car, then you will receive your Registration packet and receive directions how to proceed to your tent location. Cars are not allowed inside the grounds after 5:00pm on Thursday, so plan to unpack quickly then move your car to Exibitor Parking. Festival music, food and Bar Harbor open at 5:30pm. Hundreds of boat crews, locals and volunteers are on the grounds that evening, so take advantage of the opportunity to open your booth early! Official festival start time is 9:00am Friday.

2. Festival application

By applying to exhibit at the Wooden Boat Festival you agree to abide by our Commercial Activity and Exhibitor Policies as outlined below.

3. Commercial Activity and Exhibitor Policies

  • Exhibitors are in tents we provide, or bring your own heavy duty cover
  • Food vendors are in their own tents. Mobile units must be on perimeter and not emit exhaust when other exhibitors or attendees are present.
  • Product or service must "fit" nautical, wooden boat and maritime audience
  • No vendor can sell logo t-shirts, posters and sweatshirts on site
  • No dogs allowed within festival grounds
  • Exhibitors must stay within assigned booth space
  • Signage should be appropriate to family event and educational
  • Exhibitors outside Main Gate can only sell education programs and membership. To sell other products, please complete Commercial application.
  • No cars or bikes allowed near booths or pedestrian areas during official hours
  • Exhibitors are accepted by the Festival Committee. Booth locations assigned based on Sponsor level, years at festival and date of application.
