Dorjun: Boat Shop volunteers to start work in Fall

7/21/09 • Programs News

Dorjun, the beloved 100+ year old gaff rigged sloop donated to the WBF back in 1992, is sailing in programs this summer.  You may have seen her on the bay this summer with 7-10 year old Messin About Sea Camp students, on private charters, or in one of our adult sailing lessons.  While her hull and rig have received extensive work during the past four years, her varnish is now past due!

Plan now to join the volunteer crew who will help get her ship shape again, this time as one of the featured public projects in the new NWMC & WBF Boat Shop!  Work begins right after Wooden Boat Festival.  Dorjun will be hauled in September, on display during Festival in the shop and volunteers will work on her in the Fall.

No experience necessary.  Join the crew who love wooden boats!
