Wooden Boat Foundation regattas are more than just races. They are a celebration of traditional seamanship and maritime heritage. They are a rendezvous to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow sailors met over the years. The Wooden Boat Foundation sponsors two annual regattas.

19th Shipwrights' Regatta    February 20, 2010

The hardiest race of the year. Registration is $10. Although everyone is encouraged to participate, this was traditionally a race developed for the shipwrights whose busy schedule did not allow them to race during the nicer parts of the year. All boats are welcome, wood or other. Pre-registration is encouraged, however you can register at the Saturday morning Skippers' meeting the day of the race. Boat skippers and boatless sailors who would like to crew should attend the skippers meeting at the NWMC at 9am. The race will start at 11:30. The regatta culminates with an award ceremony at approximately 4:30pm.
